Retention is a forecast, not a post-mortem.

Systemagentgrid teaches analysts and CRM leads to build Churn Prediction Analytics that respect billing cycles, prepaid silence, and the messy joins that actually exist in Thai subscription data.

Telco Churn Signals (Thailand)

Prepaid top-up droughts, SIM rotation, and postpaid inertia — patterns we teach with Bangkok-local examples, not US cable lore.

Clinics are remote-friendly; office hours still sit on Chan Rd. when a team wants a whiteboard in the same room.

Why Bangkok, specifically

Subscription data here does not behave like a US SaaS export.

Prepaid silence is not the same as disengagement. A family plan can look healthy while the paying member has already mentally left. Festival weeks distort recharge volume. Systemagentgrid exists because those textures kept breaking models that looked elegant in notebooks.

We do not sell a scoring API. We teach the craft: feature windows that follow invoices, labels that do not leak the future, and a monitoring habit after the first dashboard demo.

What changes after the lab

Benefits you can audit, not slogans

Windows that match money, not Mondays

You leave able to defend why a 28-day prepaid lookback is not interchangeable with a postpaid bill cycle — and how that choice moves precision.

A leakage checklist your DS lead will recognise

Module 3 is deliberately unglamorous: future-known discounts, save-desk outcomes, and “days since last ticket” captured after the churn label.

Alerts written for humans with queues

We score models on whether an account manager in a Bangkok call floor can act in under four minutes, not on a leaderboard AUC alone.

Monitoring after the applause

Drift, silent feature breakage, and calendar shocks (Songkran, year-end campaigns) get a runbook, not a footnote.

How the work proceeds

Four movements, one extract

  1. Frame the label with finance

Churn is defined with revenue operations in the room. Voluntary exit, involuntary non-pay, and silent dormancy are not collapsed into one binary.

  2. Build features on the cycle that actually bills

You construct recency, recharge drought, and support intensity using the same cadence as invoices or top-ups.

  3. Stress the model on Thai calendar noise

We withhold festival weeks and a fake “save campaign” to see whether the model merely memorised last year’s promotion.

  4. Hand the score to a queue, then watch it

The last clinic is an operations rehearsal: threshold, capacity, and a one-page monitoring sheet.

From people who sat the clinics

Notes after the lab, not brochure quotes

The leakage audit in Module 3 caught a “days-to-renewal” field our warehouse had been quietly backfilling. Embarrassing, and exactly why we enrolled.

— Siriporn Wattana, Head of CRM, regional streaming service

I still wish the live clinics ran later for Chiang Mai time zones. The prepaid drought features, though, are now in our weekly pack.
